The Kerala State Chalachitra Academy has announced that the 25th edition of the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) will be held from February 12 to 19, if the COVID-19 pandemic cases comes down. The festival, usually held in December, was postponed as coronavirus cases in the state are not showing signs of slowing down.

“The conduct of IFFK will be subject to the evolving situation of the pandemic. The festival will follow the guidelines of the Government of Kerala prevailing at that time,” said a statement from the Academy.

The festival will take place from February 12 to 19. The guidelines of the festival have also been released. Films that have been shot between September 1, 2019 and August 31, 2020 will be eligible to participate in the festival. The entries will have to sent by October 31 and the preview material should be sent before November 2.

The list of selected movies will be published by December 10. The last date for the submission of screening material is January 21, 2021.
