COVID-19 has been confirmed for 4,034 people in Kerala on February 23. The district-wise break-up are Ernakulam 484, Pathanamthitta 430, Kollam 408, Kottayam 389, Thrissur 386, Kozhikode 357, Malappuram 355, Alappuzha 275, Thiruvananthapuram 255, Kannur 206, Palakkad 147, Kasaragod 140, Wayanad 131 and Idukki 71.

A new person has been confirmed to have a genetically modified virus. A 72-year-old man from Kozhikode, who came from the UK and confirmed the genetically modified virus, has been confirmed to have the genetically modified virus. A total of 11 people were diagnosed with the genetically modified virus.

COVID-19 has not been confirmed in the last 24 hours by anyone from the UK. COVID-19has so far been confirmed by 88 people who recently came from the UK. Of these, 73 tested negative.
A total of 69,604 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate is 5.80. A total of 1,11,37,843 samples have so far been sent for testing, including LAMP and antigen testing.

Ernakulam 454, Pathanamthitta 392, Kollam 407, Kottayam 353, Thrissur 376, Kozhikode 345, Malappuram 333, Alappuzha 270, Thiruvananthapuram 190, Kannur 153, Palakkad 82, Kasaragod 128, Wayanad 126 and Idukki 65 were affected by the disease.

The disease affected 21 health workers. Health workers in Thrissur 5, Thiruvananthapuram, Kannur 4, Pathanamthitta 3, Wayanad 2, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Kozhikode 1 each were affected today.
The test results of 4823 people who were diagnosed and treated were negative. Thiruvananthapuram 367, Kollam 342, Pathanamthitta 581, Alappuzha 381, Kottayam 377, Idukki 327, Ernakulam 746, Thrissur 351, Palakkad 124, Malappuram 272, Kozhikode 521, Wayanad 168, Kannur 190 and Kasaragod 76 were found to be negative today. With this, 54,665 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 9,81,835 people have so far been freed from Kovid.
There are currently 2,35,225 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 2,27,142 are under home / institutional quarantine and 8,083 are under hospital surveillance. A total of 784 people were admitted to hospitals.
There are four new hotspots and four areas were excluded from the hotspot list. There are currently a total of 372 hotspots.
