COVID-19 has been confirmed for 41,953 people in Kerala today. Outbreaks were reported in Ernakulam 6558, Kozhikode 5180, Malappuram 4166, Thrissur 3731, Thiruvananthapuram 3727, Kottayam 3432, Alappuzha 2951, Kollam 2946, Palakkad 2551, Kannur 2087, Idukki 1396, Pathanamthitta 1282, Kasaragod 1056 and Wayanad 890.

During the last 24 hours, 1,63,321 samples were tested. The test positivity rate is 25.69. Routine Sample, Sentinel Sample, CB Nat, Trunat, POCT. PCR, RT A total of 1,64,60,838 samples have been tested so far, including LAMP and antigen testing.

No one from the UK, South Africa or Brazil has confirmed COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. COVID-19 has so far been confirmed in 123 people from the UK (114)  and Brazil (1)), of whom 114 tested negative and a total of 11 were found to be genetically modified.

It has been confirmed today that 58 deaths in the last few days were due to COVID-19. This brings the total death toll to 5,565.

Today, 283 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state and 38,896 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 2657 is not clear. Ernakulam 6,466, Kozhikode 5,078, Malappuram 3,932, Thrissur 3,705, Thiruvananthapuram 3,267, Kottayam 3,174, Alappuzha 2,947, Kollam 2,936, Palakkad 1,048, Kannur 1906, Idukki 1,326, Pathanamthitta 1,236, Kasaragod 1,007 and Wayanad 868 were affected by the disease.

A total 117 health workers were affected by the disease. Health workers in Kannur 38, Kasaragod 16, Ernakulam 14, Pathanamthitta 11, Palakkad 10, Thrissur 9, Wayanad 8, Kollam, Idukki 3 each, Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam 2 each and Malappuram 1 were affected.

The test results of 23,106 people who were diagnosed and treated were negative. Thiruvananthapuram 2,221, Kollam 2,745, Pathanamthitta 565, Alappuzha 1,456, Kottayam 2,053, Idukki 326, Ernakulam 2732, Thrissur 1532, Palakkad 998, Malappuram 2,711, Kozhikode 3,762, Wayanad 300, Kannur 1,590 and Kasaragod 115 were found to be negative today. With this, 3,75,658 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 13,62,363 people have so far been freed from COVID-19.

There are currently 7,84,193 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 7,55,453 are under home / institutional quarantine and 28,740 in hospitals. A total of 3868 people were admitted to the hospital today.

Today there are 16 new hotspots. Excluded from an area hotspot. There are currently a total of 715 hotspots.
