Kolkata, after electing to bat, lost five batsmen in 11 overs, when the total was just 61. MI leg spinner Rahul Chahar removed opener Shubman Gill and Karthik for 21 and four respectively. New captain Eoin Morgan (39 runs off 29 balls) and Pat Cummins (53 off 36) had an 87-run sixth wicket partnership to boost the KKR innings, but 148 was too small a chase for MI. They comfortably chased down the target with 19 balls to spare.
