Trump planning to introduce a surprise vaccine, Biden demands transparency

As the United States continues to top the coronavirus chaos chart with more than 6.4 million positive cases, and nearly 2 lakh deaths, president Donald Trump has hinted about the introduction of a new vaccine in October. It should be noted that the United States presidential elections will be conducted on November 03, and an introduction of a vaccine before that date could elevate Trump’s public acceptance to a great extent.

“This could’ve taken two or three years, and instead it’s going to be — going to be done in a very short period of time. Could even have it during the month October,” said Trump, Bloomberg reports.

The president also added that the newly introduced vaccine will be very effective. The comments from Donald Trump come at a time when several scientists have expressed concerns over the White House’s demand to develop a vaccine before the election.

In the meantime, Joe Biden has urged the Donald Trump administration to maintain transparency as it studies the effectiveness of the shots. Biden also said that he will consult scientists before taking a shot if a vaccine gets introduced before November.

The comments of Joe Biden have literally alarmed a section of people in the United States. Experts believe that Americans will be hesitant to receive a shot if they believe it was rushed to the market, before the presidential elections to increase the popularity of Trump.
